THE CASE FOR LIFE COACHING
Dr. Nayak feels GREAT to be starting a professional life coaching journey with one of the finest training from The Coaching Academy Ltd. His long term ambition is to be an Experienced Specialist Coach until winding down to semi retirement age (60+). This is beyond a maximum 10 year plan; Subtle, more distance mature aspirations do help. He is in his early 40s! Keeping ACTIVE (both physically and mentally) coupled with SELF DISCIPLINE maintains MOTIVATION.
Dr. Nayak has contributed to the Analytical and Innovative Sciences. The SUCCESSES were MORE than PAST BLIPS. Eventually around Autumn 2019 he could not keep up with new competition in the employment arena. Also, his attempt to fast track (Spring 2020) on a partnership opportunity was promising at the start but later it ended up being futile. Why? The growing low self esteem, dwindling solvency (resources) and weak networking focus were significant reasons.
One could easily scapegoat someone below in the 'pecking order'! That would be soul destroying if it keeps occuring. Respect to all the self employed intellectuals out there. Also the same respect to all comfort zoners trying harder. How can non managerial intellectuals compete well? Some agreeable competition factors are dependent on a mixture of NETWORKING, KNOW HOW, CONFIDENCE, COMFORT ZONE STRETCHING and SELF PROFITEERING SECRETS. The very last point maybe still controversial but it is no longer a swear word!
His previous occupation was PDRA* (Middle band according to public sector Salary Grading) and the EH&F cycles became UEcon. He is fortunate to have exposure in both the public and private sectors before. We have done some very daft things too; it's nice to look back and chuckle. He remembers a time when he revealed his salary to the line manager of a big firm in his mid 20s. He was foolish to talk too much without occassional deep thought at that time.
Dr. Nayak is also known commonly as Atul. Now he'll converse in the first person: "I was fairly content with the basic corporate training provided but I would not just dismiss my lay offs as bad luck. BY REFLECTING, I SHOULD have NETWORKED better! It was the TOTAL LACK of forming STABLE and RELIABLE NETWORKS that lead to RE-EVALUATING my SENSE OF ADVENTURE and most importantly, PERSONAL GOALS."
YOU MUST HAVE FELT A TRUE SENSE OF PERSONAL ADVENTURE DIMINISHING AT SOME POINT IN YOUR LIFE BEFORE YOUR Pro.LCo JOURNEY. YOUR MAYBE TOO HARD ON YOURSELF TOO. THIS ADVENTURE IS REKINDLED DURING ACTIVE COACHING!
"My comfort zone used to be risk aversity and feeling sorry for myself often. I showed extremely bad leadership in my early 20s and remants of that re-emerged quite often in my 30s. I just didn't stretch myself and handle life's challenges well.
"Feeling active and taking all agreed actions on set goals is stretching your own comfort zone. The fear element also increases our comfort zone due to bringing up our inner critic to keep saying, 'I need to accept that my good friends are far better than me!"
